CAMC – Wiltshire Centre

Deferment of 2020 AGM to January 9th 2021

Dear Member

You are receiving this email as you are a registered member of the Wiltshire Centre of the Caravan & Motorhome Club, and this is your registered email address.

You have been previously notified of the deferment of the 2020 AGM to January 9th 2021.

Due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding Covid-19 and what rules will be in place in January, and the unwillingness of venues to commit to allowing us to use their premises, the decision has been made that the 2020 AGM on January 9th 2021 will be a “virtual” meeting only, to held using the “Zoom” platform.

If you wish to participate in this meeting you will need to “pre-register” with the Secretary by emailing in the following details to:

CAMC membership number; full name; postcode; registered email address

This will enable the Secretary to check your eligibility against the records provided by CAMC HQ and ensure that in the week commencing 4th January 2021 you are emailed all the relevant documents for the meeting, along with a link and pass code to enable you to join the meeting. On joining the meeting, you will be held in a “waiting room” prior to being admitted. Please ensure that the “user name” you are using on “Zoom” accurately reflects your actual name, otherwise you may not be admitted. (“Uncle Bob/Auntie Jan” may well work on interfamily zoom meetings but cannot be reconciled with the Centre membership list!!)

Due to the nature of “Zoom” meetings, the opportunities to raise questions “from the floor” are severely limited, and will be strictly controlled by the Chairman. If you do have a question you wish to ask, please email it to the Chairman or Secretary in advance and it will be considered for addition to the agenda.

If you have not used “Zoom” before, and wish to check that it has installed correctly, the Secretary will hold a “practice” zoom meeting on Sunday 6th December 2020 at 2.00 pm. Should you wish to participate, please email the Secretary with your details and use the heading “practice” and details of the link and pass code for the “practice” will be supplied. Please note, these will NOT be the same details as for the “actual” AGM, for security reasons.

Other matters At the last Committee meeting it was decided that the 2021 Event Card, and the 2021 Rally Book would not be distributed in printed form, but will be made available to members to print if they wish. The Event Card, in PDF format, will be emailed to all members, as well as being published on the website. The Rally Book, in its redacted PDF format will be published on the website, members who wish a non-redacted version will be emailed a copy if they request one from the Rally Book Editor.

Further updates and any changes will be published on the Centre website:

As always, if you have any problems or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact either myself, or any member of the Committee, full contact details are on the website.

Kind regards

N Riley
